What's the Story, Morning Glory? Branding for supper club and sushi making workshops. Casa Wasabi founder Elika Nakamura was born to a Japanese father and Honduran mother. Growing up in Honduras, their family kitchen was a harmonious marriage of Latin meets Asian cuisine. After mastering her sushi skills in Japan for 5 years, she now invites people into her London home, teaching people how to create her unique take on sushi with a Latin twist.
Let's be Brief Elika was looking for an identity that reflected this fusion of cultures and above all communicated the concept of togetherness. The look and feel needed to set her apart from the large number of chef's now offering supper clubs and workshops in London.
Special Delivery The colour palette takes it's cue from the vibrancy of the Honduran mascot - the parrot. The circular marque represents both Japanese origami (the magic circle) as well as the umbrella that is seen each year at the Honduran Lluvia de Peces festival (the 'Rain of Fish').
